Registration

mmc2015 Online Registration is now closed!

If you missed out and still need to register, you can always turn up to our registration desk in Manchester Central from 10.30am on Monday 29th June.

Conference registration

Conference Registration is split into three streams:

  • mmc2015 Congress Delegate - includes conference registration and exhibition entry. The enhanced package includes includes conference registration for 3 days, lunch vouchers for each day and the Congress Banquet
  • EMAG 2015 Delegate - includes conference registration for 3 days, lunch vouchers for each day and EMAG Proceedings as an online publication
  • EMAG 2015 FIB Delegate - includes conference registration for Tuesday 30 June and Wednesday 1 July and lunch vouchers for the 2 days 

These are then further separated into RMS/EMS/EMAG members and non-members and there are also separate registrations for students. 

Student rate is available to full-time undergraduate and graduate students only. Post-doctoral researchers are not considered students.

You can opt to register for the full conference or for 1 or 2 days instead. Take a look at our conference overview to plan your visit.

To enhance your experience at mmc2015, you can choose to attend one of the pre-congress workshops taking place on Monday 29 June or one of the satellite events taking place throughout the Congress. There are also a number of optional Social Events for you to take advantage of and for EMAG and FIB delegates, you can choose to receive a printed copy of the EMAG 2015 Proceedings.

If you have been a member of the Royal Microscopical Society for 6 months or more and your abstract has been accepted to mmc2015 then you are able to apply for an RMS Travel Bursary to help with funding.

Exhibition Visitors Only registration

Registration for the mmc2015 exhibition is FREE giving you access to numerous training opportunities, over 100 microscopy and imaging exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services, and the chance to view and attend the daily poster sessions and the shortlisted images from the RMS Scientific Imaging Competition.

Exhibition visitors will not have access to the conference sessions but will be able to attend the 4 commercial workshop areas and the Learning Zone, each offering their own daily programme of talks.

The four free satellite events are also available for exhibition visitors to attend, as are the evenings' social activities! Exhibition Visitors are also welcome to register for the Super-resolution Workshop in Leeds, taking place after mmc2015.

Exhibitor Stand Representatives registration

Exhibiting at mmc2015? Registration for all exhibitor stand representatives is now open. Registration is free of charge. Exhibitors are asked to register all stand personal who will be in the exhibition on Tuesday 30 June - Thursday 2 July. Stand contractors do not need to register for the exhibition and instead will be given wristbands on arrival during set up and break down.

Exhibitors are limited to 10 representatives on their account, should you wish to register more, please contact Chloe Goode for assistance.

To save time at the event please bring your badge with you and scan it at the self-service terminal.

Visa assistance and Letters of Invitation

As organisers of mmc2015, the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS) are happy to provide copies of Confirmation of Registration letters and also copies of Receipts of Payment in order to assist with Visa applications.

The RMS are also willing to issue Letters of Invitation to assist with Visa applications but only to verified conference participants, e.g. Invited Speakers and Conference Attendees that have completed the registration process and paid their registration fee.

Letters of Invitation will be emailed as a PDF document. Print copies will be mailed upon conference attendee's request. All Letter of Invitation requests must be emailed to Jill Kennedy.

In the case of your Visa being denied, the RMS will accept cancellation and will refund your conference registration fee minus a £25 administration fee. If your application has been denied you must notify us no later than 1 June 2015. If you wish to transfer your registration to a colleague with a successful Visa application, please contact Jill Kennedy.

It is your responsibility to obtain the Visa and the RMS cannot intervene or assist with your application further than supplying you with the above mentioned documentation. We advise that you apply for your Visa as early as possible.
